Aftermarket or OEM Parts, Which Are Better For Your Vehicle?

When your vehicle needs replacement parts there are many decisions to make. One of those decisions is to buy aftermarket parts or OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts. Many people choose aftermarket parts for the sole purpose of getting those parts cheaply, but we're here to remind you that cheaply made usually means cheaply built and they can end up costing you much more in the long run.

The problem with cheap parts is that sometimes you are sacrificing quality for the part, and that can cost more money in the long run by replacing the same part multiple times. When you buy OEM parts you know that the manufacturer has used quality material that works best with your vehicle.

Another problem with aftermarket parts is that it can be hard to find the right part for your vehicle. With all the different options for a single part and the hundreds of different vehicles that that part could possibly be compatible with, meaning that even if it's the right fit, it's not the optimal part for your specific vehicle.
